Danish shipping giant Moller-Maersk to sell oil unit to Total for $7.45 billion

Container shipping company A.P. Moller Maersk (Copenhagen Stock Exchange: MAERSK.B-DK) on Monday announced that it was entering into an agreement to sell Maersk Oil to French oil major Total (Euronext Paris: FP-FR).

The deal is expected to be worth $7.45 billion in a combined share and debt transaction, the company announced.
