Cuba eases new rules on private sector after criticism
HAVANA, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Cuba's government has eased new rules on the private sector, according to a resolution published on Wednesday in the official gazette, after Cuban entrepreneurs and economists strongly criticized the original, restrictive measures.
The resolution modifies regulations published in July but due to go into force on Friday, lifting the rule limiting private restaurants to just 50 seats and another allowing entrepreneurs only one license each to carry out a specific business activity.
