Cropcast Monday: Midwest is drier in the 6-10 day period

Cropcast Morning Headlines:

-Midwest is drier in the 6-10 day period. The current drier trend is allowing wetness to ease a bit, but showers should become widespread again later this week. The 6-10 day outlook is drier and cooler. The 11-15 day outlook is wetter. Temperatures are cooler in northwestern areas.

-Plains are wetter Thursday. Snow cover should build further in northwestern areas later this week. Winterklll threats will remain low. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in northeastern areas. Temperatures are cooler. The 11-15 day outlook is wetter in east central areas. Temperatures are cooler in northern areas, and warmer in southern areas.

-Florida is cooler in the 6-10 day period. Temperatures should be cool early this week, but should remain well above frost levels. Showers this past weekend improved moisture a bit for new crop growth. The 6-10 day outlook is slightly cooler. The 11-15 day outlook is wetter. Temperatures are slightly warmer.

-Delta is cooler in the 6-10 day period. Drier weather is allowing wetness to ease a bit, but showers should return to the region later this week. The 6-10 day outlook is cooler. The 11-15 day outlook is slightly wetter. Temperatures are warmer in southern areas.

-Argentina is drier in southern areas in the 6-10 day period. Showers in northeastern Buenos Aires this week will improve moisture, but some spotty dryness will linger in southern Buenos Aires. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in southern areas.

-Brazil is wetter in east central areas in the 6-10 day period. Showers in northern areas this week should continue to replenish moisture for corn and soybeans, while drier weather in central and southern areas allows wetness there to ease. The 6-10 day outlook is wetter in east central areas.

-No changes for Europe. Showers should continue to rebuild moisture in France, northern Spain, and Italy. Some spotty winterkill is occurring in eastern Poland, but snow cover should build across much of eastern Europe this week.

-No changes for FSU. Some winterkill is occurring in south central and west central Ukraine, but the upturn in snow cover in northern Ukraine, Belarus, Central Region, North Caucasus, and Volga Valley is protecting wheat there.

-No changes for China. Showers should build across southern Yangtze Valley this week, but amounts should be too light to increase wetness concerns.

-South Africa is wetter in central areas in the 6-10 day period. Dryness will continue to stress corn in central and southwestern belt areas this week, but some notable improvements are expected in the 6-10 day period.
