County National Bank announces addition of two new team members
HILLSDALE — Two new team members have been announced and recognized for joining the County National Bank team.
Joseph Williams, president of County National Bank, announced last week the additions of Matt Chrome as vice president: chief credit officer, and Rachel Garrett as branch manager of the community bank’s Horton Road office in Jackson.
Chrome joined CNB in November 2023 as vice president: chief credit officer, Williams said in a news release. He brings a background in commercial banking and more than 30 years’ experience with his most recent role being senior vice president: chief credit officer at another financial institution.
Chrome is a graduate of Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He later attended Wayne State University to complete his Master of Science degree in accounting. He and his family reside in the Mason area.
Garrett also joined County National Bank in November 2023 and serves as the branch manager of the Horton Road office in Jackson, 1523 Horton Road. She has more than 21 years in the financial industry serving with local credit unions and banks, Williams said.
Garrett has held positions in both lending and retail departments, such as lending specialist manager, certified lender, relationship banker and assistant branch manager. She holds a master's degree in business administration from Spring Arbor University and is a graduate of the Jackson Chamber’s Leadership Jackson program.

County National Bank is a locally owned and operated community bank that has been serving the financial needs of communities in southern Michigan, including Lenawee County, since 1934.
