CommScope Holding Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:COMM) is an American company specializing in infrastructure solutions for communication, data center, and entertainment networks. It designs hardware and software solutions that enable wired and wireless connectivity across complex networking environments worldwide. On the other hand, Emtelle is a leading manufacturer of blown fiber optic cable.
This partnership will combine CommScope’s Prodigy hardened connector technology with Emtelle’s REVOLink3 blowable fiber optic micro-cable. Prodigy is a universal, small-form hardened connector system designed for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments. Emtelle will use the Prodigy universal FTTH connector to manufacture drop cables that will set a new benchmark for FTTH deployment in North America.
John Chamberlain, VP Technology, Connectivity and Cable Solutions, CommScope Holding Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:COMM) commented about the partnership and said:
“We are excited to collaborate with Emtelle through this agreement. The interoperability, speed, and simplicity provided with the Prodigy solution makes it an ideal option for the next generation for FTTH hardened connectivity, and it’s great to work with Emtelle to extend its availability in the North American market.”
