Highlighting the prevalence of iOS enterprise use, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said, “iOS is the world’s best mobile platform, and nearly every Fortune 500 and Global 500 company today has put iOS at the center of their mobile strategy.”

According to a report by Good Technology, iOS dominated the enterprise mobile space in terms of device activations in 2Q15. As shown in the above chart, in terms of mobile device activations, iOS had a predominant 64% share in the enterprise market in 2Q15. The second prevalent operating system was Google (GOOG) (GOOGL) Android, with a 32% share. The smallest player among the top three in this space was Windows (MSFT) in 2Q15.
However, according to the same report, the share of iOS in device activations continued to shrink quarter-over-quarter, although at a faster rate, in this market in 2Q15. In 1Q15, the iOS share in this market was 72%.

Meanwhile, the share of iOS in tablets in this market declined to 64% in 2Q15 from 81% in 1Q15. This report excluded BlackBerry (BBRY) while calculating different metrics for the enterprise mobile market.
