Operator

Thank you for standing by, and welcome to the Chubb Ltd. fourth quarter 2024 earnings conference call. [Operator instructions] Thank you. I'd now like to turn the call over to Karen Beyer, senior vice president, investor relations.

You may begin.

Karen L. Beyer -- Senior Vice President, Investor Relations

Thank you, and welcome everyone to our December 31st, 2024, fourth quarter and year-end earnings conference call. Our report today will contain forward-looking statements, including statements relating to company performance, pricing and business mix, growth opportunities and economic and market conditions, which are subject to risks and uncertainties, and actual results may differ materially. Please see our recent SEC filings, earnings release, and financial supplement, which are available on our website at investors.chubb.com for more information on factors that could affect these matters. We will also refer today to non-GAAP financial measures, reconciliations of which to the most direct comparable GAAP measures and related details are provided in our earnings press release and financial supplement.

Now I'd like to introduce our speakers. First, we have Evan Greenberg, chairman and chief executive officer; followed by Peter Enns, our chief financial officer, then we'll take your questions. Also with us to assist with your questions this morning are several members of our management team. It is my pleasure to turn the call over to Evan.

Should you invest $1,000 in Chubb right now?

Before you buy stock in Chubb, consider this:

The Motley Fool Stock Advisor analyst team just identified what they believe are the 10 best stocks for investors to buy now… and Chubb wasn’t one of them. The 10 stocks that made the cut could produce monster returns in the coming years.

Consider when Nvidia made this list on April 15, 2005... if you invested $1,000 at the time of our recommendation, you’d have $790,519!*

Now, it’s worth noting Stock Advisor’s total average return is 915% — a market-crushing outperformance compared to 177% for the S&P 500. Don’t miss out on the latest top 10 list.

Evan G. Greenberg -- Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Good morning. Before I begin, I want to take a moment to speak about the terrible tragedy surrounding the California wildfires, the lives lost and tremendous loss of property. A major disaster is still unfolding. Our job and the role we play in society is to support our policyholders.
