SHANGHAI, June 8 (Reuters) - Mainland China reported 216 new coronavirus cases on June 7, of which 67 were symptomatic and 149 were asymptomatic, the National Health Commission said on Wednesday.
That compares with 209 new cases a day earlier - 57 symptomatic and 152 asymptomatic infections, which China counts separately.
There were no new deaths, keeping the nation's death count unchanged at 5,226.
As of June 7, mainland China had confirmed 224,465 cases with symptoms.
China's capital Beijing reported four new local symptomatic cases, compared with zero a day earlier, and four new asymptomatic cases versus two the previous day, according to the local government.
Shanghai reported four new local symptomatic cases, compared with three a day earlier, and 11 new asymptomatic cases versus seven the previous day, local government data showed. (Reporting by Shanghai newsroom, Writing by Liz Lee Editing by Shri Navaratnam)
