China reports 14 new COVID-19 cases in mainland vs 21 a day earlier
SHANGHAI, April 10 (Reuters) - Mainland China reported 14 new COVID-19 cases on April 9, down from 21 a day earlier, the country's national health authority said on Saturday.
The National Health Commission said in a statement that all new cases were imported infections originating from overseas.
The number of new asymptomatic cases, which China does not classify as confirmed cases, stood at 11, down from 12 a day earlier.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in mainland China now stands at 90,400, while the death toll remains unchanged at 4,635. (Reporting by David Stanway; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
