China levies anti-dumping tariffs on chemical imports from Taiwan, Malaysia, U.S.

SINGAPORE, Dec 28 (Reuters) -

* China's Commerce Ministry said on Friday it will implement anti-dumping tariffs on some chemical products imported from Taiwan, Malaysia and the United States from Dec. 29

* The product is 1-Butanol, an organic intermediate used for making paints and plasticizer, the ministry said in a statement posted on its website

* The tax rate will vary depending on the supplier. Tax rates of 6 percent and 56.1 percent will apply to products from Taiwan; 12.7 percent and 26.7 percent on supplies sourced from Malaysia; 52.2 percent and 139.3 percent on imports from the U.S.

* The anti-dumping tariffs last for 5 years
