NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - September 01, 2016) - B&H is pleased to share the announcement of the Portrait & Travel 2-Lens Kit from Canon, a bundle including the EF 50mm f/1.8 STM and EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM lenses. Because the kit is optimized for APS-C DSLRs, these lenses will provide equivalent focal lengths of 80mm and 16-28.8mm, respectively. The EF 50mm, which is compatible with full-frame cameras as well, provides a short telephoto perspective and fast f/1.8 aperture that make it ideal for creating portraits with a shallow depth of field. The 10-18mm lens, on the other hand, is a compact ultra-wide zoom that is a great option for landscapes and general-purpose shooting. When combined, this kit provides shooters with a versatile set of optics to get out and start shooting.
Canon 50mm f/1.8 and 10-18mm Portrait & Travel 2-Lens Kit
The optical design of Canon's EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens incorporates optimized coatings that help to reduce flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color neutrality. The f/1.8 maximum aperture is effective for low-light shooting as well as for controlling your focus plane for selective focus shooting. Seven rounded diaphragm blades further enhance the look of out of focus regions in an image, making it well-suited to portraiture and creative environmental shooting.
The standard prime Canon 50mm lens is designed for use on full-frame EOS DSLR, however can also be used with APS-C-sized sensors where it will provide an 80mm equivalent focal length.

The Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM lens is a wide-angle zoom lens designed specifically for EOS APS-C DSLRs, where it provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 16-28.8mm. The optical design incorporates one aspherical element, one UD (Ultra-low dispersion) element, and one large-diameter element to minimize chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range and contribute to notable image sharpness and clarity. Enhanced lens coatings have also been applied to lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting for maintained image contrast and color neutrality.
The wide-angle zoom lens specifically designed for APS-C-sized sensors provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 16-28.8mm.
