FRANKFURT AM MAIN, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Jun 27, 2014) - Starting today, all Condor Boeing 767s will be flying with completely overhauled cabins. The last completed aircraft with registration D-ABUD arrived yesterday in Frankfurt. Condor's long-haul aircraft now have new, more comfortable seats with individual in-seat entertainment in all classes, and a new Business Class with fully automatic reclining seats.

Condor's Business Class is setting brand new standards for Germany's most popular leisure airline: the comfortable, fully automatic reclining seats adjust electronically, and with a tilt of up to 170 degrees offer a variety of positions for relaxing and sleeping. The extensive in-flight entertainment offers a vast selection of movies, over 50 TV series and plenty of other programs controlled on a modern 15.4" Touch Screen monitor or remote control. In-seat power supply and USB ports ensure that passengers are able to use their own devices.

The cabins were completely refurbished from nose to tail. The new design in blue and gray makes the cabins look brighter and friendlier. New ergonomic seats increase the passengers' personal space in Economy and Premium Economy Class. Seats in Premium Economy Class offer 15 cm more legroom, greater seat recline with adjustable foot- and headrest for an extra touch of comfort. Passengers in Premium Economy Class can choose their own entertainment program from the extensive offer, and watch on their individual 9" touch screen monitor. In Economy Class, passengers can watch one movie and one TV series free of charge on their personal monitors. Full access to the wide ranging on-board entertainment program is available for a small surcharge. The audio program with 24 radio channels and several hundred audio CDs for every musical taste is available to passengers in all classes free of charge.

The new lighting system is an additional highlight in the new B767 cabin. Dimmable LED lighting and a mood light system offer a broad spectrum of predefined colored light scenarios to create a pleasant ambiance on board that will further enhance passengers' well-being. The lighting system can be used to simulate the sunrise or sunset to gently wake passengers up for the breakfast service.

Starting July 1st, 2014, Condor is also adjusting the baggage and hand baggage allowance in Premium Economy and Business Class. For flights to zones 3 and 4 (East Africa, UAR, Asia, Central America, South America & the Caribbean, southern Africa & Indian Ocean) the baggage allowance in Premium Economy Class has increased from 20 kg per person to 25 kg, and one hand carry-on from 6 kg to 8 kg. For zone 5 (USA, Canada and Puerto Rico) the baggage allowance in Premium Economy Class is now 32 kg instead of 23 kg. The weight allowance for hand luggage has likewise increased from 6 to 8 kg per person. Business Class passengers to zones 3, 4 or 5 can take two hand carry-ons weighing a combined maximum of 12 kg.
