Fidelity State Bank & Trust welcomes George P. Maxwell as commercial banking officer. Maxwell is an experienced loan officer in consumer, commercial and agricultural lending. He has a background in financial, credit and risk analysis for global, regional and local enterprises. He grew up in Topeka in a banker family. He graduated from Baker University in business administration and received his MBA from Emporia State University. He serves as a board member of the Downtown Topeka Kiwanis Club and Jayhawk Area Council of Scouts BSA. Maxwell and his wife live in Topeka and have two children, a daughter and a son. Whenever possible, he enjoys golf, grilling and gaming.
Fidelity State Bank & Trust welcomes Irene Haws as marketing and events coordinator. She has 22 years in graphic design, marketing and advertising experience, including social media, email marketing and web site design. Her previous roles included marketing and sales for managed IT services, IT staffing, website design and print advertising sales. She is certified in cybersecurity awareness. Haws was awarded Ambassador of the Year by the Greater Topeka Partnership in 2019. She is active in the Jayhawk Area Council of Scouts BSA and serves on the executive leadership team for the Historic Jayhawk Theatre. She is a past president and current member of the Topeka Lions Club. A graduate of Pittsburg State University, she has made Topeka her home for 30-plus years. She has one adult son who is attending UMKC.
Fidelity State Bank & Trust welcomes Lonnie Wild as business banking officer. Wild has 36 years of experience as a banker, starting his career at First National Bank in Topeka for 12 years, then commuted to St. Marys State Bank in St. Marys for 21 years, followed by three years with Bank of the Flint Hills in Wamego, which purchased St. Marys State Bank. Most recently, he was a financial examiner for the office of the state bank commissioner. Wild is a graduate of Kansas State University and received his master's degree from the Graduate School of Banking, University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is a member of the 2013 class of the Kansas Bankers Association Bank Leaders of Kansas Program. Working for Fidelity Bank now, he looks forward to getting involved in the Topeka community again. He and his wife have an adult son and daughter. In his off hours, he enjoys exercising and golf.
Stormont Vail Health is proud to announce that Deepti Manian, M.D., has joined its team to practice as an allergist/immunologist, located at 901 S.W. Garfield Ave. in Topeka. Manian uses a personal connection approach with her patients. “I am here, to hear all concerns and give all my patients the time they need,” she said. “I’m not in any rush and am happy to answer all their questions.” Manian earned her medical degree in 2013 from Kanyakumari Government Medical College in Tamil Nadu, India. In 2019, she completed her pediatrics residency in Brooklyn, New York at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. From there, Manian moved to Rochester, Minn., to complete an allergy and immunology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Moving all around the world and country, Manian has met people from all walks of life. She says that experience has helped her figure out how to address patient’s concerns in different ways that best suit their situation. “I’m really big on patient education,” Manian said. “I want to empower my patients to manage their condition, and really believe in their treatment.” Manian likes to spend time outside and garden.
