Baker named branch manager at new Launch Credit Union office

Stephanie Baker will be the new branch manager at Launch Credit Union’s new Titusville branch at 90 S. Singleton Ave.

Baker grew up in Titusville, and graduated from Astronaut High School.

In September 2005 she joined the credit union — then known as the Kennedy Space Center Federal Credit Union — as a teller, and has since worked her way to different leadership positions at the financial institution.

Launch Credit Union is based on Merritt Island, and the Titusville branch is its 17th location.

The credit union has more than 75,000 members throughout Brevard and Volusia counties. It has $1.1 billion in assets and 280 full-time employees.

Membership is open to anyone living, working, worshipping or attending school in Brevard, Flagler, Orange, Osceola, Seminole or Volusia counties.

Algeo joins Lawyers Real Estate P.A.

Lawyers Real Estate P.A. recently announced that attorney Tom Algeo joined the practice.

Algeo holds a bachelor of science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a juris doctorate from the Temple University School of Law.

A former naval aviator, he took a sabbatical from the practice of law in 2011 to become lead pilot for the Department of State Air Wing in Afghanistan. His team flew throughout the country in support of U.S. Embassy programs.

Algeo’s real estate background includes foreclosure defense, all matters involving residential and commercial real estate, leasing, landlord-tenant, eminent domain, partition and quiet title actions.

He is the former head of the Pasco County real estate division, where his duties included acquisition of rights of way for county highways, and the purchase and sale of county real estate. One of his favorite projects was creating commercial condominium units within Raymond James Stadium on behalf of the Tampa Sports Authority.

“I’m excited to join the team,” Algeo said. “They are highly experienced professionals, and I look forward to working with them.”
