Silverlake Axis Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Founder & Group Executive Chairman Peng Ooi Goh bought S$9.2m worth of shares at a price of S$0.32 per share. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (S$0.38), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn't tell us much about whether insiders might find today's price attractive.

Does Silverlake Axis Boast High Insider Ownership?

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Silverlake Axis insiders own about S$728m worth of shares (which is 77% of the company). This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
