Brian Zuber named CEO of ISU Federal Credit Union

Indiana State University Federal Credit Union has announced the appointment of Brian Zuber as its next president and chief executive officer.

He will officially join the credit union in early October, working closely with current CEO Sam Shanks, to ensure a smooth transition before Shanks’ retirement later in the month.

Zuber comes to ISU FCU with extensive experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer at the Springfield, Illinois-based Heartland Credit Union. Before that, he held executive roles at Scott State Bank and Staley Credit Union.

Zuer has bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and several professional certifications.

“We are delighted to welcome Brian to the ISU FCU family,” said Randy Jensen, Board Chair. “While we are sad to see Sam depart after her many years of dedicated service, we are confident that Brian’s leadership, experience, and vision will guide the credit union to continued success and growth. We look forward to an exciting future under his direction.”

Shanks has been with ISU FCU for over four decades. Her contributions have been instrumental in the organization’s growth and success, the credit union said in a news release.
