Brazil loan defaults steady at 2-year lows in October

SAO PAULO, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Loan defaults in Brazil held steady in October at 5.4 percent of outstanding credit, the lowest since December 2015, the central bank said on Friday.

Outstanding loans totaled 3.052 trillion reais ($944 billion) in October, up 0.1 percent from the previous month but down 1.7 percent from the year before.
