BP Australia oil refinery unit suffers outage

MELBOURNE (Reuters) - BP (BP.L) said on Thursday one of the units at its Kwinana oil refinery in Australia has suffered an outage.

"We are currently working to remedy the situation and minimise any supply disruption. At this point in time we expect that any material impacts are unlikely," a BP spokeswoman said in an emailed statement.

The 146,000 barrels per day refinery, near Perth in Western Australia, supplies most of the state's fuel needs.
