PENNSAUKEN, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / October 6, 2016 / It was recently announced that AmeriHealth 65 HMO will be discontinued starting in 2017 for seniors in New Jersey. Aetna's Medicare Value Plan will also no longer be available which will leave many seniors scrambling to replace their lost coverage.

This may result in a crisis as almost 20,000 seniors in New Jersey are suddenly in a position where they could be placed on Original Medicare starting January 1st, 2017. This change can leave many with very large hospital deductibles, as well as responsibilty for 20% of all medical costs. It could also result in a discontinuation of prescription drug coverage.

In order to assist seniors in New Jersey that will be losing coverage, BGA Insurance Group has announced an official schedule of Medicare seminars that will review the impact of this coverage change and offer advice on the best course of action.

Oct. 25th - PYAA Field House - 10 am, 2 pm

Nov. 2nd - Burlington Center Mall - 10 am, 2 pm

Along with AmeriHealth 65 HMO, Aetna has decided to discontinue Aetna Medicare Value Plan in 2017, which again means that some seniors will need to seek alternative benefits.
