Berjaya Food subsidiary Berjaya Food International (BFI) has announced a partnership with BlueMon Group to introduce Krispy Kreme Doughnuts to the Mongolian market.

The move signifies Krispy Kreme's first venture in the country, expanding its global footprint.

The memorandum of understanding signed between BFI and BlueMon combines BFI's expertise in international food and beverage branding with BlueMon's presence in the local market.

This partnership aims to bring Krispy Kreme's Original Glazed doughnuts and distinctive store experience to Mongolian consumers.

Berjaya Food has revealed that the Krispy Kreme outlet in Mongolia will open soon, although specific details are yet to be disclosed.

BlueMon Group, headquartered in Ulaanbaatar, currently manages 37 stores across five restaurant brands such as Tse Pub, The bull hot pot restaurant, and Dessert39, which cater to various dining preferences in the region.

The portfolio of brands under Berjaya Food's management includes names such as Starbucks Coffee and Brunei, Kenny Rogers Roasters and Paris Baguette in Malaysia, among others.

In August 2024, Berjaya Food International was granted the rights to open Starbucks stores in the Nordic countries, including Iceland, Denmark and Finland.

Berjaya Food Group CEO Dato’ Sydney Quays said: “We are pleased to join forces with BlueMon Group to expand Krispy Kreme’s presence into Mongolia. Mongolia presents a promising market with a rising appetite for quality food experiences and we believe Krispy Kreme’s iconic offerings, and strong brand equity will resonate deeply with consumers there."

“Together, we are committed to delivering a world-class experience that aligns with the evolving tastes and aspirations of the Mongolian market.”
