Best of the Best 2016: Yachts | 195 Feet and Up: Amels Madame Kate

The Tim Heywood–penned profile alone would make Madame Kate stand out in a crowd of superyachts. The scimitar bow, unusually large portholes, and low stern give this Dutch-built 197-foot yacht a novel look. But it literally shines thanks to the unique pearl-effect paint that was applied to the hull and superstructure. The paint sparkles both under the sun and at night, when it reflects the elaborate lighting that was installed above and below the yacht’s waterline.

  • The Laura Sessa–designed interior includes twoVIP suites on the bridge deck and three lower-deck cabins that have direct access to the beach club

  • The beach club incorporates a sauna and a Turkish bath.

  • The forward tender garage houses a 26-foot tender.

  • The yacht is equipped with a touch-and-go helipad.
