Conceptual Innovation: Breguet Tradition Chronographe Indépendant 7077

Breguet CEO Marc A. Hayek has made the Tradition line of historically inspired watches an important part of the brand’s technical development. The Chronographe Indépendant 7077 uses an entirely independent high-frequency power train for the chronograph function to keep the chronograph from sapping accuracy from the main balance. Yet despite its antique finishing styles, bridges, and fanciful features—such as the pare-chute shock protector—this timepiece remains a highly effective, modern chronograph.

  • Twin power trains regulate timekeeping at 3 Hz and operate the chronograph at 5 Hz.

  • A blade spring, armed by the pusher, powers the chronograph for measuring intervals up to 20 minutes. A patented brake holds the chronograph balance to gain maximum amplitude almost instantaneously.

  • The watch is available in rose or white gold.
