In the final nominating contest of the weekend, Bernie Sanders defeated Hillary Clinton in the Maine caucuses, his third win of the weekend, according to CNN projections. Sanders also won caucuses in Nebraska and Kansas. Clinton won the primary in Louisiana.
Sanders was expected to win in Maine; it is near New Hampshire and his home state of Vermont, both of which he has already won.
Hillary Clinton is still very much in the driver’s seat for the Democratic nomination. She’s leading in the polls for upcoming primaries in Michigan, Ohio, and Florida. Sanders, though, has indicated he’ll stay in the race all the way until the Democratic National Convention this summer.
