With the acquisition, Vertu Motors integrates nine additional dealerships into its network, as well as increases brand presence in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield, Worksop and York.
The deal also expands Vertu's footprint across Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, and increases its total number of sales and aftersales outlets to 202 nationwide.
For Vertu Motors, this deal is pivotal in fortifying partnerships with major car manufacturers.
The company's network of Toyota dealerships will grow from six to 11, Mazda from two to four, and Kia from three to four.
Detailing the benefits of the deal, Vertu Motors CEO Robert Forrester said: “We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of Burrows Motor Company Limited, strengthening our representation of trusted and successful brands such as Toyota, Kia and Mazda.
“This acquisition not only bolsters the Vertu brand across Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire but also increases our opportunity to provide an outstanding service to more customers in these regions, backed by the strength of our Group’s dealership network that spans nationwide.”
In August 2024, Vertu Motors and British Car Auctions (BCA) renewed their nationwide remarketing partnership until 2029.
As per the arrangement, BCA will manage the remarketing of around 25,000 vehicles annually for Vertu Motors, which operates under the brands Bristol Street Motors and Macklin Motors.
BCA is responsible for managing the sale of cars, light commercial vehicles and motorcycles for Vertu.
