AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear names Jeff Kendall interim president

AtkinsRéalis, an engineering services and nuclear company with offices around the world, has named Jeff Kendall the new interim president for AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear, replacing Joe McBrearty.

His appointment is effective Nov. 4.

Locally, the company has offices on the Oak Ridge Turnpike.

As the search continues for a permanent president, Kendall will lead AtkinsRéalis’ market growth and support clients’ nuclear operations, including process design engineering, waste management, transportation, disposition and high-level waste technologies, a news release said.

Kendall joined AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear in 2017 as its general counsel and has most recently served as acting chief operating officer. Since 2021, he has served as vice president – legal, procurement and contracts, providing programmatic leadership throughout US Nuclear.

Prior to AtkinsRéalis, Kendall was recruited and appointed by the governor of New Mexico to lead all environmental policy and regulatory affairs for the state, including those related to all private and federally regulated facilities.

He graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2012 with a Juris Doctor degree. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in business in 2008 and was a four-year letter winner in football for the Oregon Ducks.
