'Sky' Moore Joins Greenberg Glusker as Partner After 25 Years With Stroock

Prominent entertainment attorney Schuyler "Sky" M. Moore has joined Greenberg Glusker as a partner in its entertainment practice.

Widely regarded as a go-to adviser for sophisticated film, television, and new media financing deals, Moore comes to Greenberg Glusker from Stroock & Stroock & Lavan's Los Angeles office, where he began his legal career 25 years ago. The move was announced Wednesday.

Moore will bring his team, including colleagues Sally C. James, who joins as counsel, and Ryan D. Webb, who joins as an associate.

"Sky is one of the top lawyers in entertainment," said Matt Galsor, who heads the Greenberg Glusker's entertainment group. "He is an invaluable addition to any entertainment firm, especially during these times of tectonic shifts in our business and its rapid convergence with technology. There is no better lawyer to navigate the uncharted waters of entertainment's future than Sky."

Moore represents a broad spectrum of clients, including producers, sales agents, distributors and financiers, and he has handled some of the largest transactions in Hollywood. They include Hemisphere's alliance with Sony and Paramount, China's Hunan Group deal with Lionsgate, and the major investment by India's Reliance in DreamWorks.

In recent years, Moore has developed a niche practice in Hollywood-China partnerships, representing Alibaba Pictures, Pegasus Media Group and Leomus Pictures.

"I am thrilled to join such talented and forward-thinking entertainment lawyers," Moore says. "Greenberg Glusker has been a top entertainment firm in Hollywood for a long time, but beyond traditional entertainment it is also at the forefront of new media and technology, which is where the industry is headed."

Greenberg Glusker managing partner Bob Baradaran said Moore's influence in the industry is well known.

"He's one of the most prominent entertainment lawyers in town, and we are extremely pleased to have him," he said.

Moore has been a mainstay on The Hollywood Reporter's "Power Lawyers" list of the top 100 entertainment lawyers in the country. He has been consistently listed as one of the top entertainment lawyers by Variety and was recently recognized in the publication's annual "Dealmakers Impact Report." The Daily Journal honored Moore as one of its Top 100 Lawyers in California and The National Law Journal named him to its list of "Most Influential Lawyers."

Moore earned his law degree and did his undergraduate work at University of California, Los Angeles.
