LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jan 29, 2014) - American Gaming Systems ("AGS"), a leading designer and manufacturer of Class II gaming machines for the Native American gaming market with an emerging presence in a broad range of commercial Class III markets in the United States, today announced the appointment of David B. Lopez to the position President and Chief Executive Officer.
Upon Mr. Lopez's appointment, Robert Miodunski will retire as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of AGS. Mr. Miodunski has led AGS since July 2010 and has guided the company through a period of growth and expansion, culminating with the December 2013 acquisition of AGS by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, LLC.

Mr. Lopez most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Cash Access ("GCA"), and, prior to his role at GCA, as Chief Operating Officer of Shuffle Master Inc. During his 14-year tenure with Shuffle Master, Mr. Lopez held various positions within the organization, including Interim CEO, Executive Vice President, President of the Americas, Vice President of Product Management, as well as serving as a member of its Board of Directors.
Mr. Lopez's appointment will require him to file gaming applications with the appropriate jurisdictions where AGS is licensed.
