American Apparel reports June comparable store sales up 7%

American Apparel announced preliminary sales for the month ended June 30. On a preliminary basis, total net sales for June 2013 were $55.9M, an increase of 7% over June 2012. Comparable sales for June increased 7%, including a 5% increase in comparable store sales in the retail store channel and a 22% increase in net sales in the online channel. Wholesale net sales increased 16% for the month. For the quarter ended June 30, total net sales increased 9% to $162.2M, with a 7% increase in comparable sales and a 16% increase in wholesale net sales.
