Allianz has partnered with Fudan University in China to support finance and insurance research.

This alliance is formed around the Fudan-Allianz Finance and Insurance Research Centre, which focuses on innovations in technology, risk management and solutions for an ageing population.

In addition, the tie-up involves the sponsorship of the Allianz Auditorium within the School of Economics' new building at Fudan University.

The auditorium is expected to become a focal point for financial discussions, literacy and stakeholder engagement in financial matters.

During the launch event, Allianz SE member of the board of management Renate Wagner was honoured with a guest professorship at Fudan University's School of Economics.

The appointment certificate was presented by the school's Dean, Professor Zhang Jun.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries such as Vice Mayor of Shanghai Wu Wei and Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Gu Jun.

Gu Jun stated: “We look forward to the strong alliance between Allianz and Fudan, that not only promotes the deep integration of academic research and financial practice but also provides strong support for the cultivation of talents in the financial sector in Shanghai, enhancing Shanghai's influence as an international financial centre and gateway.”
