Ogrinz, who used to run Advent’s operations in France, is transitioning to the senior advisory role, the people said, asking not to be identified as the matter is confidential. Nicolas Chavanne, a London-based managing director, is overseeing the French operations on an interim basis, the people said.

Chavanne is supported by local directors in Paris including Hadrien de Bardies, who specializes in the industrial and technology sectors, the people said. A representative for Advent declined to comment.

Ogrinz joined Advent in 2010 and led some of the firm’s most prominent industrial and technology deals including the purchase of Belgian manufacturer Corialis in 2014 and European network service provider Circet in 2018. He started his career at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and also had a seven-year stint at Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
