Photoshop Elements 13 can help make Facebook pages more unique by blending profile and cover photos, while the Quick Edit preview has been updated to show five different variations on a selected theme. This variety helps make sure that the look which best suits an image is more likely to be applied, without the need for additional filters, before uploading to an Instagram or Twitter feed.

Whether posting pictures online or printing them out, the crop tool's new Crop Suggestions can be used to maximize visual impact. Four crop options are given when using the tool, any of which can eliminate empty space, reduce clutter, or provide a new perspective to a final image.

Three Guided Edits under Photo Effects provide possibilities for expressing oneself in black and white: Colors can be added to specific elements within a black-and-white image, sections of black and white can be created inside a color image, or global monochrome conversions can be applied.
