It would appear that 9.8% of Hut 8 shares are controlled by hedge funds. That worth noting, since hedge funds are often quite active investors, who may try to influence management. Many want to see value creation (and a higher share price) in the short term or medium term. The company's largest shareholder is Coatue Management, L.L.C., with ownership of 9.8%. Meanwhile, the second and third largest shareholders, hold 7.2% and 6.8%, of the shares outstanding, respectively. Michael Ho, who is the third-largest shareholder, also happens to hold the title of Member of the Board of Directors.
