At Google I/O, one simple fact was broadcasted to the masses: We Googlers are going to completely dominate the Internet of Things (IoT).
And that makes complete sense.
IDC once estimated that the Internet of Things will be an industry worth $8.9 trillion. It’s a massive space with huge potential. At Google’s I/O conference a number of things were released that will help push Google deeper into the IoT space. Here are 3 of them:
1.) Google is rolling out Android Auto, an operating system and framework to connect your phone to your car. It will seamlessly connect maps, music, and more with your car. It also comes with an SDK:

2.) Google is going after your television with Android TV. They showed off a ton of features showing how Android TV would work and look. Just by the looks of the image we shared below, you’ll see how it will compete with Amazon and Apple TV:
3.) Google put a special focus on smart watches. Nearly every presenter who spoke at the conference was wearing one, too. By the end of the day, everyone was talking about the Moto 360. It has some powerful capabilities like voice support and synchronicity with your phone:
