Mr. Lawrence S. Lotman is the retired Chairman and CEO of Film and Music Entertainment, Inc., a public motion picture production and distribution company. While there, he had direct supervision over business affairs and the heads of operations and production, as well as all independent producers. He is and has been an advisory board member of several companies including MO-DV, a technology company holding patents on the storage of high density digital content (i.e. Motion Pictures), to removable storage devices such as SD cards and flash drives. He is also a Senior Executive Consultant to Aurora Consultants LLC, a company providing captive insurance and other complex wealth management strategies to high net worth individuals. Mr. Lotman was also the Chief Financial Officer and advisory board member of GaimTheory, Inc., a company that provided a cutting edge community application to gamers worldwide to facilitate tournament play of some of the most popular PC game titles.
Lawrence was the Executive Producer of the motion pictures "Dead Water" (a/k/a "Black Ops") and "A Killer Weekend", both completed in 2007, and was the Finance Executive on "MoonPie" (2007), "Played" (2006) and "The Aryan Couple" (a/k/a "The Couple") released in 2004. He was previously a consultant to Rueben Cannon Productions and helped develop the distribution model that proved to be successful for "Woman Thou Art Loosed" and Tyler Perry's early 'Media' films. Mr. Lotman is also the Producing-Packaging consultant to Grace Talent Org., a full service Beverly Hills based talent agency.
Mr. Lotman has been a senior executive with both public and private companies including Levi Strauss (1978-79), Interco (1979-80) and Team Equity Mortgage (1992-97). While President of the latter, he had direct responsibility over all financing relationships with lenders and oversaw the underwriting and funding of various real estate loans, including commercial and development loans. Previous to that, he consulted on a number of real estate projects including a Casino-Hotel, an assisted living facility, a 64-lot development in Topanga (California), and a 360 planned unit development in Henderson (Nevada).
Lawrence has been a consultant for over thirty years to individuals and companies in many different industries including Real Estate, Technology, Music and Film, and has served as an expert witness and court ordered receiver in such capacity. He has also served as Trustee on several trusts. He has a Masters degree and two years post-masters studies in International Law, Economics and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (1970), and has a BA with High Honors in Political Science from The University of the Pacific (1969).
