Dow Falls Over 200 Points, Marks Longest Losing Streak Since 1978
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell for a ninth day, marking its longest losing streak since 1978 ahead of the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision. It’s the 12th day in a row the S&P featured negative breadth, which is its longest such streak based on available data back to Dec. 31, 1999, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The Nasdaq Composite dipped 0.3% after closing at a record on Monday.
