The Taiwanese dollar jumped to a multiyear high Monday, extending a recent rally and prompting top officials to deny the U.S. is pushing for a revaluation as part of trade negotiations. At an emergency meeting Monday, the governor of the local central bank said the U.S. hadn't asked Taiwan to lift the value of its currency.
