Creative Planning has completed the acquisition of a $1.3 billion registered investment advisor firm, marking its tenth acquisition in two years, it said Tuesday. The Overland Park, Kan.-based megafirm has added Kowal Investment Group, located in the Milwaukee suburb of Brookfield Wis. Creative Planning President and CEO Peter Mallouk says his firm already has several offices in Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, but this deal will give it a larger foothold in the state’s largest city.
