The Dow roared higher on Friday, after the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge showed continued progress on managing price growth. The Dow Jones Industrial Average soared 654 points, or 1.6%. The Nasdaq Composite rose 1%, digging itself partially out of a deep hole from earlier this week.
