Crude oil prices fell for much of Wednesday morning even as major oil companies rallied. Brent crude recovered midday and was trading close to flat, while a basket of U.S. oil and gas exploration and production companies were up 3.3%. As industry veteran Dan Pickering, chief investment officer of Pickering Energy Partners, put it: Trump is friendlier to the industry and riskier to the commodity price.
