Intel Stock Pops After CEO Gelsinger Retires. Shares Dropped 61% During His Tenure.
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger retired from the chip maker and stepped down from the board, effective Dec. 1, the company announced Monday. Intel has named two senior leaders, David Zinsner and Michelle Johnston Holthaus, as interim co-chief executive officers while the board begins a search for a new CEO. Zinsner is executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Holthaus has been appointed to CEO of Intel Products.
