Dow Heads for Worst Week in Nearly 2 Years as Political Clouds Gather
The stock market opened lower on Friday as Washington, D.C., dysfunction overshadowed an encouraging inflation report. After inching higher on Thursday to snap its longest losing streak since 1974, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was back down nearly 40 points, or 0.1%, on Friday.
