The Madoff Victim Fund has begun distributing its latest and final payment to mostly small investors who lost money in one of the largest financial frauds ever, the Justice Department said. The payment of $131.4 million from the fund brings the amount recovered to more than $4.3 billion, the Justice Department said. The payments have been made to 40,930 victims in 127 countries who suffered losses when Madoff's giant fraud came to light in 2008 and his firm collapsed.
