Selling high-end cars to America has become one of the British auto industry’s key strengths in recent years, from Aston Martin sports cars to Range Rover luxury SUVs. The 25% tariff on imported cars threatened to pose a major competitive hurdle, so the reduction in the levy to 10% was greeted with widespread relief across the U.K.’s car industry on Thursday.
