Even the Dow joined in the party on Wednesday. The blue-chip index was up 107 points, or 0.3%, around 1:30 p.m. ET. The S&P 500 was up 0.9%. The Nasdaq Composite rose 1.6%. The latest inflation numbers came in cooler than expected, and that gave Wall Street reason enough to buy the dip in some of the hardest hit sectors in the recent selloff.
