Danville Quaker Oats workers greenlight new severance package
DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Former Quaker Oats union employees in Danville recently voted on a new severance package.
More than 400 employees attended the meeting. 98.2% of those former workers voted yes for the new benefits.

Former employee Darrin Maloney said the new package was way better than the one before.
“Anywhere from six months or up to 30-some years, you’re going to get a severance package,” he said. “And then they also agreed to bridge our retirement for anybody that’s 50 years old and had 10 years of service.”
He said the Quaker Oats company is also paying for former employees to attend CDL classes at Danville Area Community College.
