PCE, Fed speech, consumer sentiment: What to watch Friday

Market Domination Hosts Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton take a look at what to watch for in the market on Friday.

The August Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE), the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge, is set to be released with core PCE expected at 0.2% and total PCE at 0.1%.

Fed Governor Michelle Bowman, the sole dissenter of last week’s 50 bps rate cute, is set to speak.

The final consumer sentiment print for September is expected to come in at 69.4, up from 69, which would signal consumers are feeling more positive.

The Yahoo Finance team will also be monitoring Hurricane Helene as the storm progresses.
