Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (including the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities of companies that have market capitalizations, at the time of purchase, in the range of companies in the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 Index (the index). It may invest up to 20% of its total assets in foreign securities. The fund normally invests in common stocks, preferred stocks and convertible securities and may invest in exchange-traded funds.

Management Information

Michael Guttag is an associate portfolio manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investments on the Select Large Cap Core team. He was previously a Head of Sector Strategies and Data Services Managing Director at Renaissance Macro Research where he covered equities, fixed income, commodities, and currencies globally with a focus on U.S. sector analysis using methodology incorporating technical, quantitative, and fundamental disciplines. Prior to joining Renaissance Macro Research, he was an Equity Research Associate in research at Jefferies. Michael earned a double major in Finance (BS) and American History (BA) from Syracuse University, Martin J. Whitman School of Management where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
