LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jun 21, 2014) - The retired professional games player, Stanley Tomchin, has been dedicating much of his free time to a number of philanthropic activities. He has made headlines with his charitable work and support for organizations like Boston's HOCC, and he recently attended the Fashion for Three Square event, which benefited the Bag Child Hunger initiative.

Three Square is the only food bank in southern Nevada, and provides food assistance to Clark, Lincoln, Nye and Esmeralda counties. The organization has over 600 program partners, and in addition to food banking, provides food rescue and redistribution for good food that would otherwise be thrown away. Three Square also offers ready-to-eat meals. As such, it is the most complete food solution within southern Nevada.

The Bag Child Hunger initiative focuses on bringing meals to the more than 130,000 children in southern Nevada without enough to eat. The fundraiser's goal was to provide 6,000,000 meals, funded through charitable contributions. At the Fashion for Three Square event, donations exceeded $2 million, pushing the drive to its goal and then some. To date, the initiative has served 6,060,165 meals. A donation of a single dollar paid for three meals.

Guests of the Fashion for Three Square event were treated to some of the most notable fashions of Ken Downing, the fashion designer for Neiman Marcus, and the event took place on Diana Bennett's private residence (board president of Three Square, and The Bennett Family Foundation). Notable male and female models wore the fashions in vignettes throughout the property, each accompanied by live birds, tying in with the overall theme of the event. Stanley Tomchin joined the likes of Brian Ayala, Carolyn Towbin, Steve Jones, Jody Ghanem, Tom Clearwater and dozens of others in pushing the Bag Child Hunger initiative to an incredibly successful conclusion.
