Julia Collier, former marketing senior vice president at Skims, has been named chief marketing officer for the J.Crew brand, effective Jan. 6, 2025. Collier is a proven marketing executive with a multi-faceted background in retail and fashion, regarded for her forward-thinking approach and passion for culture-driven marketing. In this new role, she will lead J.Crew’s marketing team, overseeing brand marketing and brand creative.

Dr. Martens

British boot brand Dr. Martens announced that Ije Nwokorie will succeed Kenny Wilson as CEO, effective Jan. 6, 2025. Wilson will step down at that time but remain available to Nwokorie and the global leadership team at large through next March to facilitate a smooth transition. Nwokorie served as a senior director at Apple for six years and currently sits on the member board of trustees for Charity: Water.

Five Below

Extreme-value chain retailer Five Below named Winnie Park as CEO and member of the board of directors, effective Dec. 16. In this role, Park will partner with Kenneth Bull, the company’s interim president and CEO, who will now move into the role of chief operating officer. Park previously served as CEO of Forever 21 and has also spent time at Paper Source, Dockers and Dollar Tree, accumulating expertise in brand building across various specialty and value channels.

ICSC

Brick-and-mortar retail group ICSC elected Angele Robinson-Gaylord, Starbucks senior vice president, store development Americas, to serve as ICSC’s chairman. John Peter “JP” Suarez, former Walmart international regional CEO, executive vice president and chief administration officer, will serve as vice chairman. Both appointments are for the 2025 term. Robinson-Gaylord has 15 years of extensive experience guiding retailers and developers on optimizing real estate portfolios. Suarez held several leadership positions for nearly two decades during his stint with Walmart.

In addition, eight other members will join the board of trustees in 2025, including Alison Hallberg, executive director, PGIM Real Estate; Hunter Hart, senior vice president, Walmart Realty, Walmart; Rob Hence, head of real estate for the Americas, Apple; Daniel Katz, managing partner, KPR Centers; Reginald “Reggie” Livingston, executive vice president, chief investment officer, Acadia Realty Trust; Jeffrey Olson, chairman and CEO, Urban Edge Properties; Justin Rodgers, president and CEO, Greater Jamaica Development Corporation; and Adria Savarese, managing director, JP Morgan.
