Shark Tank Entrepreneur Leaves Viewers And Investors Teary Eyed After Getting 'No Deal' For Unprecedented Organic Skincare

Appearing on the TV Show Pitching His Organic Skincare Brand Z Skin, the Tearful Pitch Left Investors Teary Eyed, and Hit Home with the Millions of Viewers Watching as He Left Empty Handed

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / November 6, 2016 / Ryan Zamo, the 27-year-old creator of the affordable organic skincare brand Z Skin Cosmetics, left viewers shocked and teary eyed after appearing on the new Shark Tank spinoff show 'Fashion Startup' this past Thursday. Though he ended up not getting the investment he asked for, sales and inquiries boomed for the young entrepreneur immediately following his appearance on the show.

As Zamo began pitching his "highly effective, affordable organic skincare products", the investors quickly agree that “the concept of the extremely low priced products is ground-breaking and fills a massive hole in the organic cosmetics market.” Infatuated with his products, investors ears perked up even more after revealing the half-million in sales for the first year through his website ZskinCosmetics.com.

The Z Skin Cosmetics pitch quickly fell apart when Zamo admitted spending $250,000 on marketing, which did not lead to sales, Zamo said, "Watching the other pitches and episodes, I can see where I went wrong. I completely miss-worded the facts. Other entrepreneurs who faced the same problem said they simply invested the money back into the company, and they got deals. I however, said that I "blindly lost the money" in advertising that didn't bring in sales from it."

Then came the full story behind his brand. Opening up about his own cystic acne problems as the motive for starting the business, Zamo continued on about his parents helping him, as they had a long history in plant biology and horticulture. Almost instantly the 27-year-old began crying hysterically as he spoke about the last moments he spent with his mom, who suddenly passed away in April of 2015, saying on the show, "I had to go down to Florida and take her off of life support. She was unresponsive for 4 days, but just a few moments before she died, she fought to open up her right eye and let a tear out. I was standing on the right side holding her hand. I knew that she knew I was there."

Though the emotional episode drew to a close without an investment for his organic skincare products, viewers began flooding the young entrepreneur with sales and inquires, Zamo said, "I've never felt so much support in my life. We've been successful in the past, but this amount of love from people I didn't even know was amazing."
